Pearl Jam originally recorded this J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers song during a soundcheck and released it as their 1998 fan club Christmas single. As I recall, radio flipped for it (as did I) and it was subsequently released to the public in 1999 via the the No Boundaries: A Benefit for the Kosovar Refugees cd. Believe it or not, it's Pearl Jam's highest charting single, as it went to No. 2 on the Billboard charts.
