20 December 2012 - Bjork - It's Oh So Quiet

When this song came out, everyone thought it was just a clever new style by the very offbeat Bjork.  Well, that's not entirely true.  This song, originally recorded in 1951 by Betty Hutton, was faithfully covered by Ms. Gudmunsdottir, was already a cover, as it was strongly based on the German "Und jetzt ist es still" by Horst Winter.

It was Bjork's biggest hit, and remains so to this day.  Since she brings such a fun spirit to the song (as does the Spike Jonze-directed video), I can see why that would be.
