I saw Kelly Willis live in 1991.  She did this song live.  I was there with my mother because no one else wanted to go see a country act with me.

My mother recognized the song first.  I was so ashamed.  But I got over it.  Because damn, it was brilliant.

This is a song that's supposed to be simple and heartfelt.

Good thing Elle King knows that.  Because she nailed it.
